Brief description and history of the artwork

Column of Attention is one of my very early works, from the time when I was just 21 years old, and was made with office pens. This drawing connected me with my first future patron Linda Ileani Dragonari. Her purchasing of my artworks and creating a private collection before the tragic fate that got her later was a major influence on my development and supported my continuation in the art scene. Although I suffered from material poverty, not mental, this cooperation triggered at least some monetary turnover over what was then otherwise time-wasting work. After failure of my collaboration attempts with antique restoration caused by the economic crisis, this was a very welcome change for the better.

The work was done in pen and ink on handmade paper. The Attention Column is a kind of divine monument that observes and thus simultaneously affects one small human soul. The background is abstract, reminiscent of the Lovecraftian Yugoth, the ancient chaos of space-time. The drawing was sold to Ms. Dragonari about a month after completion. Today, the fate of the work is unknown, since in a drug-induced delirium a few years later, Linda partially sold off her collection of my work and burned the rest. I still don’t know which of the pieces survived and which are gone for good.
